One Day Closer…
Today Mom trimmed all the fur between my toes and she cut and filed my nails – she says it is for better traction after surgery. She also ordered the RuffGear Web Master Harness to help with stability. We have another harness but she thinks this one will disperse my weight better.
I can tell something his coming, but I am not sure exactly what. I worked at Mom’s school yesterday, and I am going to work again on Monday. Although I keep hearing the words “amputation” and “surgery” I am not certain what is ahead for me.
Mom said to Dad at some point today, “Are we ready for this?” Dad responded, “Are we every truly ready?” Again, I am not exactly sure what they are talking about, but as long as I have Mom, Dad, Toby, and Sophie, I will be fine.

Congrats on ordering the harness. That is the one thing that saved us in Max’s recovery. I would recommend that to everyone. We used it right from the get go. It gave us great piece of mind to know we could help him from falling. We would put it on him in the morning and leave it on all day. It helped us assist him up and guide him. By day 4 he wanted to walk himself and we just stayed near in order to grab the handle if needed. We only took it off at night when he was in for the last potty break. Paula (Dobiemom) actually lent us hers until we could order our own. It was a true lifesaver for us. Coco sounds like your pack has a good handle on this amputation thing for you. No worries you will sail through this like a champ!

I know Mom will be glad when Thursday is over. And then she will be glad to get me settled at home. I am going to work tomorrow, which will be anise distraction for Mom and for me.
